Storyboards and such
The idea for my final project was to deal with life after death in a funny manner.
The start of the animation, there will be an old man. The view doesn't know any story information than what is displayed in words on the screen and the visual. The feeling is pleasant and safe. There are birds chirping and soothing music. As the man is walking down is path to get the mail, he suddenly drops dead. The world around him is still functioning but there is only crickets chirping now.
Then is leads into his burial. The viewer sees his fresh grave in a grave yard, maybe with a grave digger covering it slowly with dirt. Some time passes and the grave begins to take on grass and flowers. One night a giant rain storm comes over the grave and starts drenching the graves. There is sounds of thunder and flashes of lighting lighting up the graveyard. Then all of a sudden a lighting bolt strikes the grave of the recently dead old man. Then another lighting bolt strikes in the same location. All the viewer sees is flashes of lighting in the graveyard. Then a skeleton hand pops up from the grave of the old man. The rain from the thunder storm made the dirt very loose and so the skeleton is now climbing out of the grave into its new surroundings.
The skeleton is actuality is the old man. The viewer sees the skeleton looking around, trying to grasp where he is and what he is doing there. Then you see the skeleton man start cheering for joy that he is alive again. He shouts he has a second chance and that nothing can stop him now because he is already dead! As he is doing this, he is dancing around and celebrating.
Then from out of the sky another lighting bolt strikes the skeleton man himself and leaves him in a pile of bones. Dead again.
The End
